Dennis Murphy
Bio
Dennis graduated from the University of Baltimore School of law in 1985. He served as a prosecutor in the Federal Courts from 1986 until 1990 as a Special Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting a wide variety of criminal and traffic cases. He has been using the skills he learned as a prosecutor to defend clients in the State and Federal courts in a variety of criminal and traffic cases, including serious felony cases.
Dennis Murphy, our Senior Partner, is a 1982 graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County as well as a 1985 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law. From 1986 through 1990, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. During that time, he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting federal cases in the United States District Courts for the District of Maryland as well as for the Territory of Guam. From 1988 through 1990, he served on the legal staff of the Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy before entering private practice and founding our firm in 1990. He is a Member of the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, as well as the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
